Ryan Giggs is set to miss out on his side's FA Cup Semi Final clash with Newcastle United, confirmed boss Sir Alex Ferguson. The Welshman limped off in last week's goalless draw with Blackburn Rovers last week and will also miss today's tie with Norwich. Hobbs in Trouble

Giggs to Miss Newcastle Clash

Manchester United winger Ryan Giggs is set to miss out on his side's FA Cup Semi Final clash with Newcastle United on the 17th of April at Cardiff's Millennium Stadium.

With the FA Cup being United's only realistic chance of lifting silverware, Sir Alex Ferguson is hoping for a full strength side to field, but confirmed he will be without his Welsh winger.

"Ryan is very doubtful for the semi-final" stated the Scotsman. "I don't think he will make it" 

"Obviously you want a player of his experience for all the big games so it is a blow. We'll see what he looks like next week but it doesn't look good." 

Giggs limped off last week's goalless draw with Blackburn Rovers with a hamstring injury having already been a doubt with a broken nose.

The Wales international skipper will also miss today's Premiership fixture with strugglers Norwich City.
