Manchester United's out-of-favour goalkeeper Ricardo Lopez has issued a "come and get me" plea to Tottenham Hotspur boss Martin Jol in a bid to resurrect his career.

The hapless Spaniard has constantly begged for a proper chance in-between the sticks for the Red Devils' senior squad, but Sir Alex Ferguson has shown his reluctance in handing Ricardo the Number 1 jersey.

White Hart Lane's current Number 1 Paul Robinson has been linked with summer moves with the likes of Barcelona, Arsenal and indeed linked with a switch to Old Trafford, so Ricardo could be on Jol's list of replacements.

The 33-year-old did enjoy a loan-spell with Spanish outfit Real Valladolid, but is itching for a permanent move away from Old Trafford.

He said: "I've been linked with Tottenham. I like Spurs very much and would be happy to play for them."

Ricardo also slammed boss Sri Alex Ferguson for ignoring him for so long, stating: "Ferguson pays me no attention whatsoever when he names the team. I've got no chance with him"
