Ronaldo Reveals Contract Talks

Manchester United winger Cristiano Ronaldo has admitted that he has been offered a new contract by the Old Trafford board that he and agent Jorge Mendes will review.

Ronaldo has been wanting a contract for some time now as a reward for excellent Premiership and Champions League performances in his first year as a Red Devil since his move from Sporting Lisbon in the summer of 2003.

The 20-year-old Portuguese international has matured immensely since his Sporting Lisbon days and has become a firm fan-favourite with fans.

Ronaldo exposed: "The Manchester United board have already made an offer to renew but I'm trying not to think about it a lot,"

"My agent Jorge Mendes has spoken with their people and it will be resolved shortly. I believe we will reach a good agreement for both sides."

However, off-the-field negotiations will not get in the way of the winger's performances. He added: "I only want to concentrate on my performances on the pitch."
