Defender Rio Ferdinand has vowed to produce 'mad celebrations' once he has broken his goalscoring duck for The Red Devils. The England international has yet to bag his maiden goal in 94 appearances since arriving in the summer of 2002 and will relish any opportunity to net. Hobbs in Trouble

Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand has vowed to produce 'mad celebrations' once he has broken his goalscoring duck for The Red Devils.

Ferdinand has yet to bag a goal since arriving at Old Trafford in the summer of 2002,  but an 8 months drug ban has hampered more opportunities in front of goal.

26-year-old Ferdinand has gone 4 years without a senior club goal since netting for West Ham, but has notched a goal for his country in the 2002 World Cup against Denmark.

"My main concern is keeping the ball out of the back of our net," revealed Ferdinand.

"I'm a striker at heart though and if I start scoring you'll see some mad stuff, some mad celebrations, although the fans will have to wait until I eventually do it."

The defender's cousin is the striking legend that is Les Ferdinand, and should take some advice from the now Reading front-man.
