Manchester United and England defender Gary Neville will be sidelined for up to 4 weeks due to a knee injury he sustained whilst playing for England last week. Right-back Neville adds to United's defensive and will miss key games in the Premiership and Champions League. Hobbs in Trouble

Neville Sidelined for One Month
Manchester United and England defender Gary Neville will be sidelined for up to 4 weeks due to a knee injury he sustained whilst playing for England last week.

Right-back Neville adds to United's defensive and will miss key games against Lyon, arch rivals Liverpool, Tottenham, Fenerbahce, Middlesbrough and Birmingham.

"Gary has a hairline fracture in his left knee cap and we expect him to be out for between three and four weeks," confirmed a spokesman.

The 29 year-old, who signed a contract extension in the summer, suffered the injury during England's victory in Poland last week and had to be substituted during the first interval.

Brother of Gary, Phil, is set to be forced into the right-back position following being in the shadows at the start of the campaign.

Meanwhile, Wes Brown is back after a spell out and pulled off a solid performance against Bolton whilst Rio Ferdinand's ban is set to expire very soon.
