After securing his Olympic gold medal yesterday in Athens, Heinze will be continuing international action for Marcelo Bielsa's side against Peru on September 2nd.

"I have to play for Argentina. I don't make the schedules. It is a problem for FIFA, for the federations and for the clubs."

"After the Olympics, I will go straight to Argentina to prepare for the World Cup match on September 4 and after that I will go to Manchester."

The versatile 26-year old has already infuriated boss Sir Alex Ferguson for deciding to play in the Olympics let-alone the Copa America tournament.

But Heinze aims not to have a rest and get back into action as soon as possible. "I took a lot of hits and bruises in the final. My body aches but I'm fine, I'm young. I feel like I could play right now."

He added: "I am looking forward to getting to England and play for Manchester United. They are the greatest club in the country.

"It has always been one of my goals to play in the Premiership. It is the best league in the world"
