David Poole hit the only goal of the game as the Manchester United reserves beat Wolves 1-0 at Molineux. The Red Devils dominated possession, but had to wait until the 77th minute to seal consecutive Premier Reserve League North victories.

David Poole was on target for the Manchester United reserves as they scraped a narrow but deserved 1-0 victory over Wolverhampton Wanderers. The 19-year-old netted the only goal of the game from 77 minutes, with a powerful shot finishing off a great run from midfield.

United had played the better football throughout at Moineux, but Ricky Sbragia may have been worried by the lack of chances his Red Devils side created in front of an attendance of 900.

However, it was an impressive performance from United and secured back-to-back wins in the Premier Reserve League North to kick-off the new campaign. The club are also fielding a reserve side in the Pontins League, and as we reported the season opener in that division saw United convincingly beat Wrexham.
