Giggs have been pulled out of their respective international teams after
picking up minor injuries during United's 1-1 draw with Arsenal on Sunday.
Midfielder Giggs suffered a slight hamstring injury during the game and it was confirmed earlier today that he had been withdrawn from Mark Hughes' Wales squad to face Hungry on Wednesday. He joins Mark Crossley, Paul Parry, Nathan Blake, Andy Johnson, Mark Pembridge, Simon Davies and Reading's Adrian Williams in the list of absentees. Goalkeeper Roy Carroll, currently enjoying a string of games in-between the sticks, has also been withdrawn from his national team. He will now miss Northern Ireland's clash with Estonia due to a minor knock he sustained on the weekend as well. Gary Neville, Paul Scholes and John O'Shea have been rested from their national teams, not due to any form of injury. As previously reported on ManUtdWeb, Darren Fletcher will miss Scotland's home fixture against Romania due to a groin injury. |
