Division 1 outfit Ipswich Town are lining up a bid to attract Manchester United midfielder Michael Stewart to Portman Road at the end of the season. Stewart, on loan at Nottingham Forest, has made 13 appearance for them this season but has been forgotten since the arrival of new boss Joe Kinnear. Hobbs in Trouble

Tractor Boys Lining Up Stewart

Division 1 outfit Ipswich Town are lining up a bid to attract Manchester United midfielder Michael Stewart to Portman Road at the end of the season.

The 23-year old is currently on-loan to First Division strugglers Nottingham Forest until the end of this term and if The Tractor Boys don't go up this season, Joe Royle will be looking to make a swoop for the Scotsman.

On-loan Stewart has made 13 appearance for Forest this season mainly for former boss Paul Hart but since the arrival of new manager Joe Kinnear, Stewart has been surplus to requirement at The City Ground.

Scotland capped Stewart sealed his loan deal in the summer after impressing in a pre-season trial in France.

Ninth place Ipswich Town will be looking to sharpen up their midfield in the summer and Michael Stewart is a main target for Joe Royle.
