Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is looking forward to the battle he will face to get regular first-team football when he returns to action. Big-name signings Louis Saha and Cristiano Ronaldo currently sit ahead of the Norwegian international in Solskjaer's preferred positions of striker and right winger. New Page 1

Solskjaer Relishes Challenge
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is relishing the challenge he faces of getting back into the Manchester United first-team, particularly with new signing Louis Saha looking set to form a strike partnership with Ruud Van Nistelrooy.

The Norwegian international is a very versatile player, but faces competition in both the striking and right wing positions where he is most effective. However, the fan favourite is looking forward to the competition, and will look to stand up to big-money signings Saha and Ronaldo to earn a regular place in the starting line-up.

“I hope to make my comeback in the reserves on Thursday. There are always top players coming into this club and I enjoy the challenge." said Solskjaer

"Saha is a quality striker, but I hope to still make my mark and get myself back into first-team football as a United player."

Solskjaer has been in light training over the past week or so, and is likely to be given a handful of outings in the reserve side before he is considered for first-team selection by Sir Alex Ferguson.
