The England international has raised some worry over United's recent performances even though the Champions have won their last 6 fixtures.

| Paul Scholes believes Manchester United
have not yet hit top gear despite topping the Premiership at the mid-point
of the season, and has raised concerns over recent performances even though
the Red Devils have won six games in a row since their League Cup exit
against West Bromwich Albion.
Despite spending a spell on the sidelines through injury, the England international has played an important role in United's success so far this season with a series of impressive displays in the midfield. However, Scholes is confident that he and the United team will improve in the latter half of the campaign. "The Christmas period couldn't have gone any better in terms of results and we are still winning matches, which is the most important thing, but we have not been playing that well," said the 28-year-old "We have not been firing on all cylinders and hopefully we will play a lot better in the second half of the season. The championship race is so close now there is no room to drop points, so you have to keep winning. "It will start getting even more serious once we get January and February out of the way, so we want to try and stay in the hunt until then and hopefully press on from there." |
