Manchester United will be looking to forget
about the nightmare in Germany, when they lost 2-1 to the hands of VfB Stuttgart,
and focus on getting back to winning ways domestically.
It was a real poor performance against the Germans and United will be looking to lash out at Birmingham. Birmingham City, managed by ex-United legend Steve Bruce, are really flying high in the Premiership. They are currently unbeaten and are only one space behind United. Bruce's side have only conceded 2 goals so far in the Premiership and play with a very defensive mentality. Don't expect a goal flutter by United! The Blues lost 2-0 in the equivalent fixture last season, but Bruce believes Birmingham are prepared much better this season. It is always nice to go back there and take on United and I know this time we are better equipped," "It is always difficult to face United when they have just lost a game because they will want to avenge that". "But every player that is worth his salt loves the challenge of going to play in the biggest and the best stadium in the country, against the best team." Bruce went on to say. As for team news, Rio Ferdinand is a minor doubt for the game, after he picked up an ankle injury in midweek. United may go with the same line-up that started in Germany. Welsh international Robbie Savage is the only doubt for Steve Bruce. He is suffering from an Achilles injury and will face a late medical before the game. Ladbrokes, United official betting service, have placed the Red Devils at 1/3 to get back to winning ways. |
| One to Watch - Mikael Forsell |

The young Finnish international striker, on
loan from Chelsea, will be looking to add some more goals to his ever
growing goalscoring tally in the Premiership.
Forsell will be a potent threat upfront, partnering World Cup winner Christophe Dugarry, will cause havoc all afternoon. |
