Manchester United players Ryan Giggs and Cristiano Ronaldo have both been charged by the Football Association following their behavior in the scoreless draw over Arsenal last Sunday. They have both been charged with improper conduct over Arsenal players Martin Keown and Lauren. Match Report

Two United Players Charged By The FA
Manchester United players Ryan Giggs and Cristiano Ronaldo have both been charged by the Football Association following their behavior in the scoreless draw over Arsenal last Sunday.

They have both been charged with improper conduct (rule E1) over Arsenal players Martin Keown and Lauren. Other United player Phil Neville has been cautioned.

Six Arsenal players have also been charged for their actions.

Ashley Cole has been charged with improper conduct, so to has: Martin Keown, Lauren, Jens Lehmann, Ray Parlour and Patrick Vieria.

Marin Keown, Lauren and Ray Parlour face further punishment after they all broke rule E2, which is causing violent conduct. Keown hit van Nistelrooy on the back of the head, Parlour grabbed Gary Neville and Lauren kicked out at Quinton Fortune and held van Nistelrooy back.

The FA released this statement:   

"The FA has today issued a number of charges following scenes of disorder at the match between Manchester United and Arsenal at Old Trafford on Sunday, 21st September
