Manchester United have loaned out their reserve team captain Neil Wood to Peterborough United on a 1-month loan deal to solve their midfield problems. The 21-year old midfielder has been very impressive in the reserves for some while and has caught the eye of Posh manager Barry Fry. Match Report

Wood Seals 1-Month Loan Deal With Posh

Manchester United have loaned out their reserve team captain Neil Wood to Peterborough United on a 1-month loan deal to solve their midfield problems.

The 21-year old midfielder has been very impressive in the reserves for some while and has caught the eye of Posh manager Barry Fry.

“I am so grateful to arguably the best manager ever, Sir Alex Ferguson, for loaning me Neil Wood,” said Fry.

“I spoke to Neil on the phone, it is refreshing for a young man like him to say 'I can't wait to play' and it took 20 seconds for him to say yes to us.”

“It is nice to know Sir Alex still helps the small Fry's of this world and we will see Neil at the hotel on Friday.” He added.

Wood looks set to start for Peterborough against Tranmere Rovers on Saturday.
