Connah's Quay Nomads 2-2 Manchester United XI - Match Report

Manchester United fielded a mixture of experience and youth to play their annual friendly with Welsh feeder club Connah’s Quay Nomads yesterday at The Deeside Stadium, in Connah’s Quay.

The game resulted in a 2-2 draw with Daniel Nardiello and Kieran Richardson scoring for United XI.

Welsh defender George Horan and newly signed forward Robbie Chesters both scored for United’s North Wales feeder club Connah’s Quay Nomads.

This fixture will be arranged once a year, as it is part of Manchester United’s link-up deal with the League of Wales club.

Manchester United will loan some of their top youngsters to the Welsh club to give the vital first team experience, and The Nomads will also loan some of their talent to Old Trafford.
