Manchester United have agreed a link-up deal with Sao Paulo, and have also confirmed the signing of Under-17 star Rincon from the Brazilian outfit. The link-up agreement is similar to deals United have with Nantes and Sporting Lisbon, and is mainly designed to benefit Youth players. Barthez in Confederations Cup Action

Sao Paulo Link-Up Announced

Manchester United have agreed a link-up deal with Brazilian outfit Sao Paulo.

The deal is similar to ones the club has with Nantes, Sporting Lisbon, Walsall and Connah’s Quay Nomads.

United have used the agreement with Brazilian outfit to sign Under-17 star Carlos Eduardo Castro Lourenco.

The midfielder, known as Rincon, is very highly-rated, and is thought to have the potential to become a Brazilian international.

He is nicknamed Rincon, because he is a similar sort of player to Columbian legend Freddy Rincon.

United’s academy director, who has played a part in securing link up deals for United all over the World, from North Wales to Brazil, announced news of the deal.

"Everyone in the Manchester is impressed with the vision of the Sao Paulo," said Kershaw.

"We see sufficient potential here for the development of projects together with the Brazilian club and our Portuguese partners, Sporting Lisbon."
