United duo, Paul Scholes and Phil Neville were in action as England came from behind to pull off a vital 2-1 victory over Slovakia in their Euro 2004 Qualifier. A Michael Owen second half brace gave England the points.

England came from behind to beat Slovakia 2-1 in their crucial Euro 2004
Qualifier at Riverside.
A dismal first half display saw the fans boo the England side off the pitch, but things vastly improved in the second forty-five and a brace from stand-in captain Michael Owen secured England a vital three points. Turkey's 3-2 victory at home to FYR Macedonia keeps things the same at the top of seven, with Turkey 2 points clear of England having played a game more. The group table is as follows:
