United prepare for Everton test

Needs another win

Manchester United will aim to climb above West Ham United and into fifth spot in the Premier League as Everton travel to Old Trafford on Sunday.

The Red Devils dropped to sixth in the table as 10-man West Ham drew 2-2 with Crystal Palace on Saturday.

Manchester City's 4-0 hammering of AFC Bournemouth leaves the Red Devils four points behind the Champions League spots, but victory on Sunday would keep United firmly in the hunt as the most unpredictable of seasons continues.

Bastian Schweinsteiger will be unavailable for Louis van Gaal after picking up an injury on international duty for Germany, whilst the away side have been boosted by the news that John Stones is set to fit.

United return to action after a dismal March ended with an unexpected victory at bitter rivals City. Having slumped out of the Europa League days early, this season will be assessed on whether United can win the FA Cup, and if van Gaal's men can sneak into the top four.
