Leicester City frontman Jamie Vardy eclipsed Ruud van Nistelrooy's record for goals in successive Premier League games; as the Foxes and Manchester United shared a 1-1 draw.

Hot shot Vardy broke the deadlock on 24 minutes in this unlikely top-of-the table clash. The striker latched onto Christian Fuchs' pass before dispatching a cool finish.

Vardy has hit the target in 11 top-flight games on the spin, claiming a record set by Red Devil Ruud van Nistelrooy in 2003.

United, however, restored parity on the cusp of half-time courtesy of Bastian Schweinsteiger's header - and enjoyed ample possession in a highly-competitive game.

Louis van Gaal's men sit third after the weekend's top-flight action - a point behind surprise package Leicester. The Red Devils face West Ham - another side enjoying a decent season - at Old Trafford next weekend.
