Wayne Rooney grabbed the only goal of the game as below-par England beat Estonia 1-0, making it three wins from three on their way to Euro 2016.

The Red Devils frontman broke the deadlock on 73 minutes with a free-kick.

 

It was his 43rd England goal in what was Rooney's 99th international appearance.

England struggled for long periods, but were assisted by the dismissal of Ragnar Klavan shortly after half-time.

The result, which follows the recent 5-0 victory over San Marino, keeps England comfortably on course for the 2016 finals in what is, in truth, an exceptionally favourable qualification group.
