A strong Manchester United Under-21 side continued their impressive start to the season with a 2-1 victory at Spurs on Monday evening, in a game which burst into life at the death.
Warren Joyce named Anders Lindegaard, Adnan Januzaj and James Wilson in his starting XI at the Lamex Stadium.
In-form United headed into the game with seven points from their opening trio of league outings, and claimed another victory in a game which saw all three goals scored in the closing moments.
After the majority of the game passed with little incident, Januzaj broke the deadlock with an 86th-minute free-kick, before Nathan Oduwa restored parity for the hosts almost immediately.
However, skipper Tom Thorpe settled the contest in injury-time. Days after making his senior debut, he nodded home a Januzaj cross to hand the Red Devils maximum points in dramatic style.
