FC United of Manchester have now drawn their opening four league games of the season following a 1-1 draw at Trafford on Bank Holiday Monday.

James Knowles put the Red Rebels ahead, following an early missed penalty from Jerome Wright.

However, the home side restored parity via a spot-kick, with Shelton Payne converting from twelve yards.

Karl Marginson’s men now sit 15th in the Northern Premier League table, three points behind the play-offs, which is where they have finished in each of the last four seasons.

Whilst the breakaway club remain unbeaten, FCUM will need to turn draws into wins if they’re to threaten to win promotion to the Conference North. They return to action at home to Ramsbottom on Saturday.

Full Time – Trafford 1-1 FC United of Manchester
Attendance – 1,106
