Ex-Manchester United winger Bojan Djordic is due to play in the inaugural season of the Indian Super League.

League organisers have confirmed that the player will feature in the 'central international player draft' to be held on August 21st.

The new venture, not dissimilar to cricket's Indian Premier League, will feature eight franchise teams from across the country, and is based on a controlled roster system. Left-winger Djordic will be one of 49 international players available for selection by franchise clubs at next week's draft.

During five years at United, the Swede made two appearances for United, as a substitute in a 3-1 league defeat at Spurs, and in a heavy four-goal League Cup reverse at the hands of Arsenal.

The 32-year-old also spent time at Sheffield Wednesday, Rangers, Plymouth Argyle and Blackpool during a busy career.
