Manchester United's new acquisition Luke Shaw is facing approximately one month on the sidelines with a hamstring injury.

19-year-old Shaw played no part in Tuesday's pre-season friendly win over Valencia, and the club has confirmed the player is facing a spell in the treatment room.

A statement read: "Luke Shaw has a hamstring injury and is expected to be out for around four weeks,"

The defender, a £27million signing from Southampton, may now target the Red Army's trip to Leicester on September 22nd as his senior debut for the club.
