United battled hard to earn a 1-1 draw in the first leg of their Champions League quarter final tie at Old Trafford on Tuesday evening. Nemanja Vidic scored the opening goal with a glancing header in front of the Stretford End before the German champions levelled the tie shortly afterwards.

David Moyes' team remain confident that they can complete the job in Munich, where a high scoring draw would be enough to get through. Although in reality United have to score at least once to have any chance of progression. 

Before the trip to Germany United  have a fixture at Necastle United on Saturday 5th April before they can concentrate on the game on the Continent against the reigning and newly re-crowned champions bayern Munich. 

"We'll go toe-to-toe with them," Moyes said of the second leg against Bayern. "Our best football has been in this competition, and we will need to show our best football when we go to Bayern next week." 

United's next three games are all away: 

...at Newcastle on Saturday 5th, in Germany on 9th April and then away at Everton on 20th April.
