Jones: "We have to get to the final"

Ahead of the League Cup semi-final, second-leg, Manchester United's Phil Jones has highlighted the importance of the Red Devils qualifying for the Wembley showpiece final.

Trailing 2-1 from the first-leg at the Stadium of Light, United will look to overturn the deficit on Wednesday evening at Old Trafford.

Sitting seventh in the Premier League table and already out of the FA Cup, the League Cup carries added importance for United as David Moyes looks to win his first piece of major silverware in management.

Speaking to the club's official website ManUtd.com, the defender said: "It was always massively important to us. We want to win every competition.

“Now we have to go an produce the goods. We have to get to the final.”

United reached the semi-final following victories over Liverpool, Norwich City and Stoke.
