Neville pays tribute to travelling Red Army

Former Manchester United captain Gary Neville has paid tribute to the team's travelling fans following Sunday's 3-1 defeat at Chelsea.

The Red Army were in magnificent voice throughout at Stamford Bridge as they watched their team slip to a seventh top-flight defeat of the season. 

United's travelling fans were singled out for praise following the League Cup defeat at Sunderland by David Moyes and, following the Chelsea loss, Neville has highlighted their fantastic support.

Speaking on Twitter, Neville said United's fans showed "support and class" and were "singing relentlessly for the team". 

Efforts, meanwhile, to enhance the atmosphere at home matches continue. Following the trial for the Real Sociedad game, a Singing Section will be operational for the visit of Fulham on February 9th, with reports claiming it could become a permanent fixture in the future.
