Dwight Yorke believes his former club Manchester United can win the Premier League title last season.
The Red Devils endured a difficult start to the new league season, with their record after 15 outings their worst since 2001.
Speaking to Sky Sports, Yorke said: "Moyes and the players know this is a crucial part of the season but they'll be quietly confident they can put a run together to see them challenge at the top of the table."
The player, who won three league titles with United, continued: "Things are looking promising and, come the end of the season, I wouldn't be surprised if United retain their Premier League title."
However, United have responded with an impressive run of form, and Boxing Day's comeback win at Hull leaves the club seven points behind leaders Arsenal, who beat West Ham United later on that afternoon.
David Moyes' men have won five games in a row in all competitions and travel to Carrow Road on Saturday eager to continue their rich and timely vein of form against Norwich City.
