PM David Cameron

Prime Minister David Cameron has predicted that Manchester United will suffer their sixth Premier League defeat of the season on Saturday against West Ham United.

Giving his predictions to the BBC on a visit to see British troops in Afghanistan, the PM tipped the Hammers to win 2-1 at Old Trafford on the weekend.

Cameron was in Afghanistan with former Manchester United striker Michael Owen.

His prediction follows a difficult start to life at Old Trafford for new boss David Moyes, though three successive victories and clean sheets in all competitions has done much to boost morale.

The Hammers go into the game in buoyant mood themselves, having claimed a 2-1 League Cup win at bitter rivals Spurs on Wednesday.

Cameron, an Aston Villa supporter, tipped his team to win at Stoke, and also predicted victories for Liverpool, Newcastle, Manchester City, Norwich, Hull, Tottenham, Swansea and Chelsea.
