Manchester United powered into the quarter-finals of the League Cup with an emphatic 4-0 victory over Norwich City at Old Trafford.
Following his winning goal against Stoke, Javier Hernandez once again gave David Moyes plenty to ponder with a brace as United secured an ultimately comprehensive win.
The Mexican fired United ahead from the penalty spot after Adnan Januzaj was felled by Leroy Fer, and a header nine minutes after the interval doubled the lead.
David Moyes’ men capped an excellent evening with two late goals from unlikely sources – Phil Jones firing home a volley, before Fabio da Silva met Wayne Rooney’s chip and dispatched a fine finish.
The Cup victory ensures United come through the month of October unbeaten, boasting four wins and two draws.
