Galatasary boss Fatih Terim believes his side can cause an upset on Wednesday evening by pulling off a big result at Old Trafford. Both teams kick-off their Champions League campaigns at the Theatre of Dreams, but the bookmakers have priced up United as comfortable favourites to win the game.
United will be eager to start their European campaign with victory after last year’s Champions League Group Stage exit and subsequent Europa League failure.
The Red Devils and Galatasary have met on four occasions previously, with the first three games ending as draws before United claimed a 4-0 win. This will be the first meeting between the two teams since December 1994.
Fatih Terim, enjoying his third spell as Galatasary boss, believes his Turkish champions can surprise pundits mid-week and claim a successful result against three-time winners United.
The 59-year-old said: "I don't need to tell you how Manchester United are a big club. We respect to them but we don't fear them. We are going to England for take a good result.
“Years ago we made history against them. I believe that Galatasaray can repeat that success."
Prices on United to beat Galatasary are around the 2/7 mark, whilst an away win is available at a big 11/1 wth various bookmakers.
