United defender in talks regarding move to Portugal

Manchester United full-back Fabio Da Silva is in talks with Benfica regarding a possible loan move. Any such move would see the 21-year-old move away from his twin brother and United team-mate Rafael. 

Benfica are eager to sign Fabio in a loan deal and the player's agent is thought to have started negotiations with the Portugease club. 

The deal is likely to see the young full-back move to Estadio da Luz in a season-long deal. 

Speaking to Maisfutebol, he said: "I have a Portuguese passport, and speak the same language. The adjustment would be easy. There would be no problems, I think.

"Portugal would be a good solution for me. I follow some of the league and I know Portuguese teams, because they are always good in European competition."

He has made 15 appearances for United this season, including in a 2-2 home draw against Benfica in the Champions League.
