Manchester United claimed a crucial win in the Premier League title race with a 3-0 victory over Roy Hodgson's plucky Fulham. Phenomenal Wayne Rooney bagged a brace and an excellent Dimitar Berbatov also scored as United moved two points clear at the top of the Premier League.

United sit two points clear of Chelsea following this crucial Premier League win over Fulham.

Rooney continued his devastating form with a brace, while the excellent Dimitar Berbatov also hit the target in a 3-0 win.

The result sees United gain revenge for their heavy defeat at Craven Cottage earlier in the season.

Fulham were competitive throughout the first-half, but Rooney broke the deadlock on 46 minutes before two late goals sealed maximum points for the Champions.

United can now look forward to next Sunday's hotly-anticipated clash with fierce rivals Liverpool. Sir Alex Ferguson's men will be hungry for more revenge following the 2-0 reverse at Anfield earlier in the season.
