Summer signing Gabriel Obertan is expected to represent the club for the first time on Monday evening. The French youngster has thus far been unavailable with a back problem, but is expected to start Monday evening's Manchester Senior Cup tie against Oldham Athletic.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's second-string will be hoping for Cup
success on Monday evening as they travel to Hyde's Ewen Fields to face the Red
Devils.
Ewen Fields, the current home of Oldham's reserve side, used
to play host to United's reserves and recently hosted an FC United of Manchester home fixture.
The Manchester Senior Cup tie will see Obertan in action for
the first time. The 20-year-old joined the club over the summer from Bordeaux for a fee thought
to be in the region of £3million.
United will be hoping to win the Manchester Senior Cup for the third time in a row this season, having won the 124-year-old tournament no fewer than 24 times in the past.
