Ex-Reds winger given Championship chance

Former Manchester United winger Quinton Fortune has been handed a trial with Championship outfit Doncaster Rovers.The South African international heads to the Keepmoat Stadium with Welshman and fellow ex-Premier League man John Oster.

Fortune is currently in training with the Yorkshire club and will be hoping to win a permanent contract with Donny.

The ex-United winger has been released by Belgian side Tubize whom he joined after failing to impress on trial with Ipswich Town.

The 31-year-old spent seven years at Old Trafford after joining the club from Atlético Madrid.

He made 126 appearances under Sir Alex and bagged 38 goals; but never established himself as a regular first-team player.
