Four Reds named in Team of the Decade

Rio Ferdinand, Cristiano Ronaldo, Ryan Giggs, Ruud van Nistelrooy have all been named in Goal.com’s Premier League Team of the Decade. Selected by the web-site's journalist Sulmaan Ahmad, the XI also includes the likes of Sol Campbell and Thierry Henry.

As we approach 2010, Goal.com have selected their Premier League team of the decade.

No fewer than four of the eleven players have represented the Red Devils in the top-flight - with Ferdinand, Ronaldo, Giggs and van Nistelrooy all named in the team.

Using a 3-5-2 formation, Shay Given, Campbell, John Terry, Steven Gerrard, Patrick Viera, Frank Lampard and Henry are all included.

Cantona wasnt as good a goalscorer as Shearer, Fowler or Andy Cole...Great Player mind

Carragher has been consistent for Liverpool since he signed for them, there no doubt about it

Henry only became a great player in 2002/2003 then left 2/3 years later, not really the credentials to judge over ten years

Like Henry, Ronaldo only came good 2 seasons ago and has now left

Keane was a great player for us no doubt and I would have put him in there, but Gerrard pound for pound is an all round better player and Gary Speed has been around since the prem began and has played in almost every season

Im gonna hope you were taking the @#$%& with eboue

Roy Keane's best years were in the 90s not the last decade. The team named though simply wouldn't work. If you have a 3-5-2 formation, you usually have wing-backs. While they are both fantastic players, Ronaldo and Giggs could never been classed as wing-backs!!
