Sir Alex Ferguson has ruled out any further activity during the January transfer window. Manchester United have confirmed the signing of left-winger Zoran Tosic from Partizan Belgrade, whilst a deal has also been announced for Adem Ljajic who will link-up with the club in twelve months time. However, they will be the club’s only new arrivals this New Year.
Fergie
had previously said that he's make no significant transfer moves in January. United
have now confirmed deals to sign Serbian duo Tosic and Ljajic - two players who
the club have shown interested in for some while.
Sir Alex
has confirmed that the two youngsters will be the only signings the club makes
during the transfer window.
Speaking
at a press conference ahead of Sunday's trip to Southampton,
Fergie said: "That's the end of the transfer dealings for Manchester United.
There will be nothing else in January."
United have already been linked with a host of players, including Standard Liege's Axel Witsel and Leeds' Fabian Delph, but it appears United's purchasing is all finished on only the second day of the sales.
