Manchester United Radio OFF the airwaves

The club have decided to no longer air Manchester United Radio on match-days. The station, which had been available on 1413AM, broadcast pre-match build-up and commentary to all United games – and was broadcast to the Salford and Manchester areas. However, the club have announced a new deal with Key 103 who will now deliver the service, hosted by ex-Red Mickey Thomas.

The news does not come as a great surprise. The club have never made a huge effort to publicise Manchester United Radio and the station has been flagging in recent years.


Key 103 FM is independent radio station broadcasting out of Manchester - and it’s available across the North West. It can also be picked up on DAB and online.

Headed by ex-Red Mickey Thomas, Key will provide build-up and commentary to all of United's weekend games throughout the season. Midweek matches will come out of Key's sister-station Piccadilly Magic 1152.
