Four Manchester United players have been nominated for awards at this year's PFA ceremony. Paul Scholes, Ryan Giggs and Cristiano Ronaldo will all be hoping to take this season's player of the season crown.

Four Manchester United players have received nominations for awards at the upcoming annual Professional Footballer’s Association ceremony.

 

Cristiano Ronaldo, Ryan Giggs and Paul Scholes have all been put forward as contenders for the PFA's prestigious player of the season award.

 

Meanwhile, Wayne Rooney has been nominated for the PFA young player of the season award.

 

Voting has taken place between the country's players and the results will be announced on April 22nd.

 

United fans will be confident that the on-form Ronaldo can come away with the PFA's top award; but he will face tough opposition from Chelsea's Didier Drogba who has scored 30 goals this season and has helped the London club challenge for honours on all fronts so far this season.

 

Steven Gerrard, current holder of the PFA award, is another one of the six hopeful nominees.

PFA PLAYER OF THE YEAR: Didier Drogba, Cesc Fabregas, Steven Gerrard, Ryan Giggs, Cristiano Ronaldo and Paul Scholes.

 

PFA YOUNG PLAYER OF THE YEAR: Cesc Fabregas, Cristiano Ronaldo, Wayne Rooney, Kevin Doyle, Aaron Lennon, Micah Richards.
