As football continues to price itself out of the market, the F.A has released what it calls “sensible” prices for the forthcoming Cup final.

United will do battle with silverware rivals Chelsea at Wembley on May 19th – but supporters won’t be able to see the clash for anything less than £35. Tickets will be priced at £35, £60, £80 and £95.

"It was important to set ticket prices at a sensible and affordable level," said FA chief executive Brian Barwick.

"We believe these are very competitive for what will be a historic match."

There were thousands of empty seats at both semi-final ties; but the F.A have decided to take advantage of the showpiece final being between two of the country’s biggest clubs with yet more high prices for supporters

Tickets will be sold through the club's respective ticket offices and none will be available on general sale. The two clubs are set for talks to discuss ticket allocations during the week and United will release information on applying for match tickets accordingly.
