Manchester United will host Reading in the fifth round of the F.A Cup. The draw will sees United enjoy a third consecutive home draw following wins against Aston Villa and Portsmouth.
Steve Coppell will return to Old Trafford in the F.A Cup fifth round after his Reading side were drawn away to Manchester United.
The Royals, who won at Birmingham in the fourth round, now face United and will need to cause a major upset to continue their march to Wembley.
It’s another mediocre cup draw and none of the ties will look particularly appealing to the television companies. The winners of Arsenal and Bolton’s replay will host Blackburn, whilst Blackpool or Norwich will get the opportunity to face big-spending Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.
There will be at least one Championship side in the quarter-final following Derby County’s draw away at Ian Holloway’s Plymouth.
The complete draw is as follows:
Chelsea v Blackpool or Norwich City
Watford v Ipswich
Preston v Man City
Plymouth v Derby County
Manchester United v Reading
Arsenal or Bolton v Blackburn
Bristol City or Middlesbrough v West Bromwich Albion
Fulham v Tottenham
Ties to take place on the weekend of commencing February 17.
