Rooney fires double and sinks Pompey...

Two goals by Wayne Rooney,the second one being "Cantona-esque" were enough to put United into the fifth round draw and banish complaints about goals not being given or disallowed. Portsmouth played well and contributed to a good match in front of the BBC cameras.

United were always in charge but after a Vidic header was judged not to have crossed the line and a Larrson effort ruled offside some doubts and a thought of a possible replay were surfacing. However coming on as a substitute Wayne Rooney scored two at the Stretford End and his second certainly reminded many fans of Eric Cantona at his best !

Another game without keeping a clean sheet, - United haven't had "nil" since beating Aston Villa 3-0 in December. ( Not a concern just a comment! )
