Recent Form : 'Shire managed to draw 1-1 at home to Stirling Albion last Saturday to keep the pressure on Queen's who are only above them in the League table by virtue of goal difference thanks to an identical result at home to Morton. However, whilst Queen's were gaining precious points in the 2-2 away draws at Elgin and Gretna, East Stirlingshire were drawing 2-2 at Montrose before losing heavily in Greenock by 4-1.

Likely Outcome : Although both teams share a record of each having one won match and drawn four to arrive at their seven point haul to date, there are factors that point towards a Queen's win on Saturday. For a start, 'Shire's defence have leaked a disturbing 34 goals in 13 games (Queen's have only lost 22) but, more importantly, 'Shire's solitary win to date was that 2-0 victory at Hampden two months ago. That should provide Queen's with a burning desire to gain revenge, and also to put some clear light between themselves and the bottom of the table.

On the other hand, Firs Park has been a graveyard of many a good Queen's teams ambitions in the past, its tight bumpy pitch making it awkward for Spiders sides more used to the width of Hampden's lush playing surface. Nonetheless, sheer determination should be enough to see Queen's win through if they apply themselves in the same manner as last Saturday and, that being the case, a 3-1 win would do nicely.
