New Southend United goalkeeper Steve Collis has praised former Yeovil partner and now Southend partner Efe Sodje for helping the 25 year old keeper on making his mind up for the move to Southend. The pair played together at Yeovil until Sodje left in January, and will link up again at Southend.

"I spoke to him earlier this week about the club and which direction they were going in, and he spoke very well of things," Collis told the club website.

"He's someone I get on with, and he has been enjoying his time here."
