Baker's new home

Pitcher Dylan Baker is now an LA Dodger after being traded by the Brewers in exchange for cash consideration or a player to be named at a later date.

The 25 year-old right-handed pitcher (RHP) had 13 relief appearances with the Akron Rubberducks (Cincinnati Reds' Double-A affiliate) in 2017, going 0-1 with a 2.84 ERA and struck out 10. He also started two games (out of four appearances) with Rookie-level AZL Indians going 1-0, allowing two runs in four innings.

As a high school senior in 2010, he was the Gatorade Player of the Year and Louisville Slugger Player of the Year, both of which are given to the best high school baseball player in each state. In 2012 he was drafted by the Cleveland Indians in the 5th round and joined their 40-man roster in 2015.

The Oregon-born pitcher was designated for assignment on November 20, 2017, and claimed off waivers by the Milwaukee Brewers a week later. On December 21 he was back on assignment and was claimed off waivers by the Los Angeles Dodgers today.

He is yet to make his Major League debut.
