Wilkie Gets Call Up!

Our young, tall, Central Defender Lee Wilkie has been selected for the Scotland squad who will travel to the far east next week.  Lee is one of the eight non capped players who are in the squad who will face South Korea, South Africa and a Hong Kong select over the next fortnight.

The Players who could be handed there debuts are Cardiff Goalkeeper Neil Alexander, Chelsea's Warren Cummings, Motherwell's James McFadden, West Brom's Scott Dobie, Sunderland's Kevin Kyle, Dundee United's Paul Gallacher and Ranger's player Maurice Ross.

Berti Vogts is out to get his first victor after losses to World Champions France and the classy African side Nigeria who he played in his first two games as Manager of Dundee.

From the team he selected only six players have had more 2 caps for Scotland already.

The squad is:

Neil Sullivan, Robert Douglas, Christian Dailly, Callum Davidson, David Weir, Scott Gemmill, Allan Johsnton, Neil Alexander, Warren Cummings, James McFadden, Lee Wilkie, Scott Dobie, Kevin Kyle, Paul Gallacher and Maurice Ross.

Neil Sullivan will play against Korea and Douglas will play against Hong Kong.

 

The squad leaves this Monday for Korea and the fixtures are:

Korea v Scotland, May 16

South Africa v Scotland, May 20

Hong Kong League XI v Scotland, May 23.
