Barry Smith or Mr Dependable.  Barry is the clubs 1st team longest serving player.  He joined Dundee in 1995 which saw Morten Weighorst go to Celtic in return.

Barry was at Celtic for five season and in his time at Celtic Park he gained 19 first team league appearances and also gained Scotland U21 honours.

When Ivano came to Dundee had moved Barry from his Central Defence role to a Right Back role which Barry has adapted to well and is now playing his best ever football.

When Barry signed a new Contract for Dundee Ivano commented on Barry's Professional attitude and told of how he sets a perfect example for every player at the club.

Barry does get a lot of Undeserved stick from the fans but Barry is still a Brilliant player and still has a good few seasons under his belt at the age of 28.

Barry now plays for the shirt for the team he has come to love and always gives his best!
