In his first match as a pro Alan Gordon scores in the first 30 seconds of play to put the Sounders on their heels early. The Timbers put the game out of reach with a goal in the second half of play.

May 2nd

The Timbers make quick work of the Sounders early as rookie Alan Gordon finds the back of the net 30 seconds into the match off a nice feed by David Henning.. There is allways a heated match  with these two clubs every time they meet. Seattle played one man short as Ryan Edwards was sent off in the 42min of play. The game was very close as each club missed some good chances. Byron Alverez put the match away as he put Hugo Alcaraz-Cuellar cross in at the  71st minute of play. Seattle reponded just minutes later with a goal by Kyle Smith. A great win for the Timbers in a very well played match by both clubs.
