Halifax Town upsets Chester City in the 3rd round of the FA Trophy at Deva Stadium as sub Andy Farrell heads the ball pass the keeper for the winning goal

| January 10th 2004 Halifax Town came away from Stonebridge with a huge 3rd round FA Trophy win against the Conference first place team Chester City. Sean McAuley got the Shaymen going 12 minutes into the match by a nice cross to Lewis Killeen who put in the net for the score. Chester City knotted things up when Bolland scored in the 20th minute. Chester City controled the rest of the first half. The second half started with pressure from Chester City. The Shaymen came through in the 82nd minute of play as Andy Farrell headed in a corner kick from Craig Midgley to make it 2 to 1 Andy Ferrell sub on for Jonny Allen in the 77th min and Jake Sagare subbed in for Mollen. in the 71st minute. |
