Kris Commons has signed for Nottingham Forest just as the official site predicted. We had been told that the player would probably be signing a while ago by the official site- and with this being contract expiry day for most teams- it was somewhat expected. New Page 1

Nottingham-born midfielder Kris Commons has joined the club. The player has confessed that he supported The Reds as a child and so a move to The City Ground was a dream come true for the player. Commons had this to say on the opportunity of a lifetime: "It really does feel like I've come home. I used to watch Forest as a kid and was on the club's books for a while. I decided to leave because there were one or two things I didn't think were right for me at the time. But that was then. A lot has changed since then and I'm delighted to be back. I've always regarded Forest as my club and I really couldn't be happier at joining them." "I was a regular in the Stoke side last season but I know I can’t just expect to walk straight into the Forest team. It's up to me to work hard for a chance and when that comes along, I'll look to make the most of it." Playing football for your hometown team's every young player's dream and Commons should prove a much more loyal and adequate replacement for Gareth "Judas" Williams. This has proved to be a very good day for The Tricky Trees and there are more transfers to come shortly.
